My Philosophy on Supplementation
I’ve always been a “less is more” type of person when it comes to supplementation. I would see people take 7-8 different supplements, rotate them, stack them, and swear by their results, but the people always looked the same. They would take so much that even if they did get results, they were unaware of which supplement was actually working because there was too many products in their system. The other issue is when they stopped taking supplements, their bodies would undergo a complete transformation because the supplements were what sustained their look.
My theory is, when I stop taking supplements, my physique and nutrition should be able to maintain a similar look independent of the supplements. I don’t believe supplements should make or create you, rather they should do exactly what they state and “supplement” your nutrition and physique. I’m not big on “stacking” or using an excessive amount of product. It takes too much time, energy, and costs too much money. I’d rather not take anything at all, but since it is necessary because I push my body beyond average limits, I typically choose to take the least amount necessary.
One thing I do believe is that everyone should have a good multivitamin for daily energy and nutrients and a quality protein for meal substitutions. Those are the two things I will always have in my supplement arsenal. Additionally, people should always know the proper way to take supplements in order to maximize their effectiveness, and they should also understand the purpose for taking those supplements.
