Category Requirements

Category Requirements: What are the Category Requirements? (3 of 6)

Each organization often has its own set of requirements for certain categories. For example, some figure divisions have quarter turns, routines, open-hand bodybuilding posing, and t-walks, while others simply do quarter turns and group comparisons. Some fitness modeling divisions have question and answer segments, while others have only swimwear and themed sportswear. Additionally, some organizations require a one and two- piece posing suit, while others require only a two-piece. Along with category requirements, it seems that organizations are also increasing the number of categories in which women can compete: bodybuilding, fitness, figure, and bikini has also lent itself to fitness modeling, physique modeling, and figure-physique divisions. This is great because it often meets the needs of varying body types, but it can also be difficult to understand what each category entails. Carefully read the requirements of each and select the one (or more) that best suits you, your body type, and your goals. In doing so you may be able to easily rule out certain organizations that do have the categories in which you desire to participate.
