What Makes You Smile

The economy, the war, unemployment rates, health care, an immoral society……we can all find reasons to frown and be angry, but what makes you smile? Here are some of the little things in life that bring a smile to my face.

"Sunrises, family, hearing children play, ice cream and pizza, feeling sore 3 days after a workout, hot cocoa, snow days (only people from the midwest and east coast know about that), a quiet  & clean house, watching my parents dance and hearing them say I love you after 37 years, cats, great music and a chilled glass of wine, being in love, sleeping in (only until 7am though), shopping, finding a good sale, peanut butter……ohhhhh, staying up for hours chatting with my twin brother, cupcakes, Sunday morning worship service and mid week Bible study, finishing ALL my tasks for the day, kisses and love notes, Texas Roadhouse bread rolls with cinnamon butter, great friendships, stimulating conversations, intelligent minds, a hot cup of coffee on a cold winter morning, my favorite pair of jeans, road trips, reminiscing on college & high school years, football season, Hallmark cards, a good hug."

There are plenty of negative situations to dwell on. Redirect your focus. It’s the little things in life that really matter. Take time to enjoy every moment!  What makes YOU smile?
